People Analyst II, Scaled Analytics – Google Join the Google People Analytics team as a People Analyst II, leveraging data to improve decision‑making across HR programs. This role operates at Flex level, full‑time, and may be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, or Playa Vista, CA. Eligibility Qualified applicants in San Francisco and Los Angeles counties with arrest or conviction records will be considered under the local fair‑chance ordinances and the California Fair Chance Act. Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 + years of experience working with multiple data sources, combining information to generate insights and creating reporting solutions for an executive audience (e.g., dashboards, tables, templates, metrics). 5 + years of experience interacting with and manipulating data using SQL. Experience in stakeholder management. Experience with dashboards, data visualization and data analytics. Preferred qualifications Experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams, managing relationships with clients, and presenting to audiences. Experience developing front‑end reporting with business intelligence platforms or similar tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with product marketing. Proficiency in managing projects in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments. About the team The People Analytics team is an internal innovation lab that uses analytical approaches to drive data‑driven decisions in HR. We build and maintain insights that keep Google a great place to work. Compensation US base salary: $117,000–$168,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The range varies by role, level, and location. Responsibilities Build user‑focused reporting solutions using SQL and data visualization skills, translating business logic into clear narratives. Enhance existing reporting solutions by identifying opportunities, implementing feature requests, fixing bugs, and optimizing for usability, scalability, and performance. Advocate best practices in dashboard design, data product development, and code deployment across the People Analyst community. Lead elements of Go‑To‑Market, key feature building, project management, user support management, and product analytics for high‑visibility HR reporting platforms.
