Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and design mechanical systems, products, and components. The ideal candidate will combine creative design skills with technical expertise to deliver innovative and efficient mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:  

\n
    \n
  • Design mechanical components, systems, and products from concept to completion 
  • \n
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software 
  • \n
  • Develop product specifications and technical documentation 
  • \n
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis 
  • \n
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) 
  • \n
  • Conduct design reviews and design verification testing 
  • \n
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure producibility 
  • \n
  • Evaluate and recommend design improvements 
  • \n
  • Support prototype development and testing 
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot design issues and implement solutions 
  • \n
  • Work with suppliers and vendors for component selection 
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • \n

Required Qualifications: 

\n
    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • \n
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience 
  • \n
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) 
  • \n
  • Experience with GD&T and mechanical tolerancing 
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • \n
  • Knowledge of materials and material properties 
  • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • \n
  • Strong project management abilities • Effective communication skills
  • \n
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • \n
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license 
  • \n
  • Experience with simulation software (FEA, CFD) 
  • \n
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles 
  • \n
  • Six Sigma certification 
  • \n
  • Experience with PLM systems 
  • \n
  • Patent development experience
  • \n
\n
