Precision Fabrication & CNC Machinist/Welder – Expert Level

Join a cutting-edge team where innovation meets precision. We're looking for a highly skilled fabricator with expert-level experience in CNC machining and welding to help bring complex engineering designs to life.

• Interpret 3D models and engineering drawings to plan setups, program CAM, and design custom fixturing.
• Operate advanced CNC equipment, including 3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis mills, live-tool lathes, waterjets, and laser cutters—maintaining ultra-tight tolerances down to ±0.0005 in (±13 µm).
• Develop creative work-holding and tooling solutions for rapid prototyping and production.
• Generate efficient CAM programs, manage tool libraries, and maintain CAM templates for streamlined workflows.
• Perform precise in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM.
• Optimize feeds and speeds while driving continuous improvement across shop processes.
• Execute high-quality TIG and MIG welds on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel—including vacuum and hermetic seals.
• Read and interpret welding symbols and build directly from 3D models or engineering prints.
• Fabricate precision weldments with a focus on alignment, squareness, and cosmetic excellence.
• Maintain welding equipment and prep materials through cutting, grinding, and cleaning.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and machinists to provide design-for-manufacturing feedback.
• Support R&D hardware fabrication including tooling and fixturing.
• Document setups, offsets, inspection results, and lessons learned to build team knowledge.
• Uphold safety protocols and contribute to shop cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and deliver results on schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $118000.00/yr.
