Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. The position involves setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce quality parts in accordance with blueprints and procedural specifications. A commitment to quality and safety is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Remove labor ticket and shop order materials from designated areas and prepare for operation.
• Engage CNC lathe and ensure materials are present for the shop order.
• Load bar stock into the hydra bar unit and ensure chucked materials are staged and fed into the machine.
• Set up and operate assigned machines to produce quality parts without assistance.
• Access and interpret prints in computer files for specific order instructions.
• Monitor machine operation for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Verify conformance of finished parts and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate pertinent information to coworkers and supervisor.
• Maintain quality by performing in-process inspections and completing required documentation.
• Participate in cost savings and Six Sigma projects.

Essential Skills

• Machining knowledge with 2 or more years of related work experience.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to access prints in computer files.
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards.
• Experience with CNC machines and blueprint interpretation.

Work Environment

The CNC Operator will work in a large facility with approximately 125 employees on the floor. The position is for 2nd or 3rd shift. 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30PM-12AM, 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 12AM-7:30AM. A shift differential applies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.43 - $23.69/hr.
